Who We Are

Our English School is located in the centre of Basel. Sunshine Little Learners is a friendly educational establishment offering English courses and Maths courses to children of school age as well as preschool education to children two to four years old.

           Preschool- Tuesday- Friday (9am till 12.30 pm),Saturday (1.30 pm till 4.30pm)

​

Our morning preschool sessions are programmed to be child-centered. We provide a safe, stimulating and fun space for children to play and learn. Each session is supervised by our qualified and caring staff who are highly experienced in working in childcare.

          English Classes- Monday - Friday(2 pm till 5pm),Saturday(10am till 1pm & 1.30pm till 4.30pm)

Our afternoon English classes are run by qualified and enthusiastic teaching professionals. Our classes are kept small to ensure high-quality teaching. We promote an early interest in reading and writing, which provides a crucial foundation for future life skills. Our reading programme includes Jolly Phonics and the Oxford Reading Tree series. We also use the Cambridge Primary learning materials for children aged 7 and above. We encourage all our children to think critically and creatively as well as helping them develop their language skills.

                        Maths Classes -Wednesday (1.30 pm till 3.30 pm and 3.30pm till 5.30pm )

We believe that Maths is not just about numbers; it is present in every aspect of our daily lives. Therefore, we place great importance in nurturing the enthusiasm for mathematics in our students. Here at Sunshine, we encourage children in our afternoon classes to apply their mathematics skills to real-world problems, to develop an inquiring mind and hone their problem-solving skills. Our learning objectives are based on the UK curriculum using the Cambridge Primary learning materials.
